This Month: Faith, Trust and Belief
Belief is a strong word, and is in the same definitions as faith and trust. In fact, trust is in every definition of faith, belief, assurance, and confidence. So, we could say that belief is along those same definitions, too. Just like last week we were talking about how some of the words can be interchangeable. When you read a scripture like the one found in 2 Corinthians 4, “I believed, therefore I have spoken.” You could say, “I trusted, therefore I have spoken.” Or “I had faith, therefore I have spoken.” So, when you read the scriptures about these things, you can interchange any of these words to help you better understand what the Lord is trying to say to you.
Dr. Nasir Siddiki
- Believe it when you pray it, not when you see it.
- The devil cannot stop what you got, only what you are waiting on.
Discussion
2Cor. 4:13-14
- It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to Himself.

- Romans 10:17 says: consequently, faith comes by hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of God
- Doubt comes from hearing. It’s just from hearing the wrong things.
- If you have more faith, you have less unbelief.
- Believe on faith. Focus your faith on the Word, not what you hear.
- Speak to your mountains; increase your faith.
- What are you feeding your faith? The Word of God?
- Only you can let go of your faith. No one can take it from you.
